Beginning in 1990
HOPE HOUSE began its operations in 1990, and is State and County licensed and certified. "Our mission is to provide substance abuse treatment in a structured environment addressing the needs of these women. We also provide program services for women on a self-referral basis. Pregnant women stay in the program until their baby is born, healthy and not addicted. We use a variety of techniques to prepare and transition the women to become responsible, productive, and independent members of the community" according to Karen Francone, Director of HOPE HOUSE since 1997.
Transitional Living Program
The second component of Hope House is a transitional living program, HOPE HOUSE II, which allows the women who successfully complete the 180-day residential treatment to move into transitional living requiring them to be gainfully employed and/or attending school, along with continued recovery based involvement in the community. Upon completion of our programs, 85% of the women are successfully reunited with their children, 70% remain clean, sober and crime free and 60% become gainfully employed.
A very important concept of our program is the fact that our clients are in a safe, nurturing and clean environment. Providing this type of enhanced living environment promotes a healthy and positive spiritual and emotional atmosphere to assist the women in successfully completing our programs.
All contributions to the program are tax deductible, and we are happy to provide documentation. If you would like to make a donation, be on our mailing list or are interested in the program, please contact us. We would love to hear from you!
